Afternoon Tea for SHARDS
We would like to thank everyone who joined us for Afternoon Tea on September 27th. Your support of SHARDS helps make affordable counseling services available to people in need in our community and beyond.
We would also like to recognize the individuals, businesses and organizations that helped make this event possible through their generosity. Woods Floral donated the table centerpieces. Bucko’s Port Resale Shop donated many of the teacups that we used. Holy Family Catholic Congregation hosted the event. Model Cleaners provided the table linens. Jim Salasek, PhD, of Agnesian Healthcare gave the keynote address, and a client who receives assistance from SHARDS shared how seeing a SHARDS counselor has helped her cope with bipolar depression. Many thanks, as well, to those who donated or loaned tea sets and those who donated silent auction items, tea and coffee from Just Fare, desserts and volunteer time.
